THANKSGIVING MEMORIES!!!

We had forgotten to put up some photos of our Thanksgiving weekend. We certainly had a wonderful weekend and hope you all did too. Obviously, we have so much to be thankful for this year and we're in awe at the turn of events, when exactly one year ago we had a very sad Thanksgiving, when we had been originally denied to adopt our girls. Here we are this year, a whole different ball game huh???

We Enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving meal with some of the family on Michael's side. It's amazing how the girls are just soaking in all the new American traditions and loving every minute of it!
Here are some great photos of Catalina, as she marched in our little downtown's Thanksgiving parade with her Pom-pom squad. She really wanted to participate, but when the day finally came, it took a lot of encouragement from us for her to be able to follow through (not just nerves, but it was sooooooo cold - yikes). She was a real trooper and when it was all over she felt so very proud of herself!!!

Our girls loved spending time with their beautiful cousins Jillian & Chelsea on Thanksgiving day!!!

Finally, what they have been waiting for all weekend: helping Papi put up the Christmas tree!!!

WHAT A WONDERFUL CELEBRATION!!!

On 9/16/07, exactly 6 months after our daughters arrived, we had a wonderful "Welcome to Our Hearts Adoption Celebration!"

It was absolutely wonderful, many of our dear family and friends attended and our girls (who were feeling soooooooooo comfortable & alot more confident to "face a crowd" after all, we were now family for 6 months), enjoyed themselves tremendously. It truly was a fabulous time and they absolutely LOVED meeting so many precious people who had been so faithful in praying for them during our entire process - Thanks everyone who was there; yes, we thank you BIG TIME!!!

HALLOWEEN 2007 - LOTS & LOTS OF FUN (NOT TO MENTION CANDY)!!!

GRANDMA LUIZA IS SOOOOOOO COOL, SHE STAYED HOME & PASSED OUT CANDY SO WE COULD BOTH EXPERIENCE OUR VERY 1ST HALLOWEEN WITH OUR DAUGHTERS!!!

THE NEIGHBORS WELCOMED OUR GIRLS & WERE EXCITED TO GIVE THEM CANDY (WAY TOO MUCH); OUR GIRLS EVEN GOT A RIDE IN THE BACK OF A TRUCK, WHEN THEY GOT TO TIRED OF WALKING DOOR TO DOOR!!! :>)

WE HAVE SO MUCH FUN WITH OUR GIRLS - THEY HELP US REMEMBER WHAT IT FEELS TO BE A KID ALL OVER AGAIN!!!

BY THE TIME THE NIGHT WAS OVER, OUR SWEET LITTLE PRINCESSES ENDED UP COLLECTING ABOUT 120 PIECES OF CANDY EACH - YIKES!!! GOOD THING MAMI KNOWS A MAGICAL WAY TO MAKE THEM SLOWLY DISSAPEAR INTO THE TRASH CAN, WITHOUT ANYONE EVEN NOTICING!!! :>)
